Grey Spring Day

I took this photos yesterday because it wasn't rainning and it sounded like a great opportunity to update the blog. At the end of the day the weather wasn't that bad, and I tought that when I woke up today I would see the sun shinning outside but I guess I was wrong. Once again, today is a grey spring day.

Yesterday I wore jeans!! Yes, jeans! It's a bit weird seeing me wear that because I'm not a jeans kind of girl and I don't remember the last time I wore it. Most of my friends recognize me like a girl that never wears jeans. In my opinion jeans are not comfy enough but I decided to give it a try. Anyway, I wore that hat to give jeans a classier look and to feel a little more like me. Well, I guess it wasn't that bad!

Style Icon: Brigitte Bardot

I wanted do post some outfit photos but since the rain is back and with the university work I decided to do it another day. So, I tought it would be a good idea to tell you about my Brigitte Bardot love.
I'm sure all of you have at least already heard about her. She's a beautiful french lady full of tallent and really stylish. Yeah, I know she's 76 right now and she's not the same young girl that made many hearts around the world melt but I still admire her a lot and she stills gorgeous and really classy.

Brigitte was an actress, singer and a sex symbol in the 50s and 60s. This beautiful lady had one of the most gorgeous clothes and style at the time and I'd die to have my hair like hers.

I specially love her apperance in the film "Le Mépris" by Jean-Luc Godard. If you haven't seen it, you should. Well, it's not my favorite Godard's film but Brigitte Bardot's appearance is worth it and her wardrobe couldn't be lovelier.

Well, I could write an endless text about her and the things I love about her but I guess it's funnier if you check her work and her style by yourself. There's a lot of films where she appears that you can't not watch and I'm sure you'll have a great time doing it.

By The River

Today was a day of events. Elizabeth Taylor died and the Prime Minister of my country resigned. Elizabeth Taylor was one of those persons who I tought that would never die. But what is really worrying me right now is the state of my country, I don't know how this is going to end.

But bad things aside, today was also a beautiful spring day. Zé and I went to another walk on the downtown. It's amazing the great things you can find in the little local stores in Coimbra. We found a little record store with some great music records (but also a bit expensive). I also saw a few shoes that I wouldn't mind to have.

Oh, and look how red looks my hair! I'm becoming a red head again. In fact, not a red head. I had my hair in that color for too many time. Now something between ginger and light brown is what I want.

We also had a great time taking this photos. Don't you find the Mondego river really beautiful?

Hello Spring

What a lovely day it was today! Finally Spring arrived full of sun. It was pretty cool to see people outside wearing dresses without tights and short sleeves. But I must admit that I'm not confortable with the idea of not wearing tights, I think it's too early.

Well, I didn't do much today. Just walked through the downtown and took a few photos.

I'm so excited with this weather that I just feel like walking on the street looking at everything!

I wanted to wear something more Spring-ish but I found out that my closet is too full of Winter clothes which is kind of sad. The great thing is that I found out this skirt in my closet and I didn't remember I had it.

Brand New Shoes

I've been wanting a pair of shoes like this for ages and I finally found this ones. I've already seen shoes like this in some online stores but they were too expensive plus the shipping cost. But the great thing about this ones is that they only cost 19,90€ and they are perfect. I'm sure I'm going to wear this a lot. They're without any doubt my favorite shoes at the moment.

I need to do a more of shoe shopping. I'm tired of almost everything I own and I already saw a few shoes that are really worth buying. I need red oxfords and I need some sandals.

I know I shouldn't buy heels since I don't wear them that much and when I do I regret myself for hours because of the lame portuguese floor and because I don't own a car. I'm all public transports and walking feet.

Summer Clothing

Lately I've been thinking a lot about what I wanna wear this summer. The sun is shinning a lot today so I tought it would be a great idea to show you what I feel like wearing when the summer arrives.

Since I go to a lot of summer festivals I need comfy outfits above anything.

I really wanna buy a pair of white Converse shoes to wear with shorts and skirts. I can't wait to leave my tights and to show my pale legs to the world, ahah.

And hats are going to be my most important must-have.

This outfit is also perfect to go to a picnic, to bike and to sit next to a river enjoying the nature.

Pretty summer dresses are also one of things I want the most.

This is something I want to wear to go out with my family, to have a nice party with my friends, to eat ice-cream with my boyfriend and to read a nice book while enjoying the sun.

Romantic clothes are basically what I wanna wear this summer.

I don't remember the last time I went to the beach. I'm not really a beach kind of girl. I hate the idea of spending my time laid and waiting for the sun to burn my skin. But spending the time on the beach reading a book, listening to music, drinking something fresh and talking with my friends sound pretty good.

In case I decide to go to the beach this year this is what I want to wear. The top of a bikini and a high waist fresh skirt.

Two Kinds of Hapiness

I didn't know what name I should give to this post so yey, a reference to The Strokes sounded good to me. I don't know if you like them but I really do and I found the new album pretty good! I need to say again that I'm super excited about seeing them live this summer.

Today I wore a leopard print scarf wich is pretty weird since I don't wear animal prints at all. I had this punk phase years ago and I was all leopard prints, leather and band t-shirts but wearing it again sounds kinda funny. Anyway, I liked how the scarf looked with my new vintage coat.

Rosa Chock

I know I'm being such a lazy blogger lately but I swear this week it will be different!

Anyway, I tought it would be a great ideia to show you my favorite vintage and second hand store. The name of the store is Rosa Chock and there you can find the most beautiful clothing (some pretty expensive too).

But one of the things that I love the most about Rosa Chock is the retro decoration and the owner - a really sweet lady, in love with her store but also very rock and roll.

You can find this store at Rua do Almada in Porto (Portugal). If you never went there you won't regret but if you did I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

A few days ago someone asked me where I buy my second hand clothes and this is one of the stores where I do it but I'm planning on doing a post about it. Cool second hand store and sites where you can find the greatest bargains.

Mermaid Garden

Today I went to take a walk on the Mermaid Garden - Jardim da Sereia in portuguese.

It was a sunny day but a bit cold. I only wore a jacket and a long sleeve blouse but I freezed a bit in the end of the day. I just don't feel like wearing big coats and layers and layers of sweaters. Where are you summer days?

I bought this skirt last week on sales at Zara Kids! It's the first time I buy something from Zara Kids but since my 26 year-old sister is doing that all the time I decided to give it a try. And the best thing is that it only cost 3€.

I was felling a bit sick of flowered clothing but I guess it is changing again. It reminds of spring and I adore spring.
