Meet The Blogger: Valium and Cherry Wine

After a few months without doing a Blogger's Interview I decided to get back on track presenting you one of my favorite portuguese bloggers!

Rita Patinha is the 20 year-old blogger behind Valium and Cherry Wine, a magical place where you can find a lot of inspiration! She's a lovely girl with the prettiest romantic style and I'm sure you'll like to read her answers as much as I did!

1. Where are you from and what do you do for a living?

I'm from Évora but I'm living in Lisbon. During the day I'm a photographer in a model agency and during the night I'm studying Audiovisual and Multimedia at Escola Superior de Comunicação Social.

2. What inspires your personal style?

Everything that I see inspires my style, from unknown people that I see on the streets, to movie characters and, of course, the blogs I daily follow. My state of spirit also influences my style a lot, one day I can wear all black and the next day I can wear a pink skirt or a floral dress.

3. How would you describe your style in a few words?

Hum... It's a bit hard to describe my style in a few words because I don't like to put labels on the styles, my style is just my personal style. I wear what I like and what makes me feel good and I don't follow trends...
I really like vintage stuff and I try to put that on my style but I never wear only vintage from head to toe. I also like floral prints, polka dots and patterns with animals.
If I could I would never wear pants and I would only wear skirts and dresses, because of that I can say I'm a bit girly. I don't like to wear clothes with strong colors, maybe because I spent a lot of years only wearing black and today I still love to wear that color. Sometimes I really like to wear a bit more minimal too.
Lately I have a huge obssession with "Peter Pan Collars", everytime a see a piece of clothing with that I fall in love!

4. What made you start blogging?

Everything started when I read an article about bloggers on a portuguese magazine that no longer exists (Ragazza), I searched some of the blogs that they talked about and WishWishWish was the one I liked the most because I identifed myself a lot with Carrie's style... Since that day I start following WishWishWish and one day I tought "why not create my own blog!?"

5. If you could, who would you like to be for a day?

I would like to experiment living in diferent eras (a lot like the fillm Midnight In Paris) but without needing to change who I am, I could still be myself. I would wake up in Paris during the "Belle Èpoque", I would learn to dance the Charleston during the 20s, then I would go in a Diner in the USA to eat something during the 50s and in the end I would go to a concert in the 80s :)

6. Tell us a random fact about yourself.

Nobody from my family and friends knows that I own a blog, it's not a secret, I just don't usualy talk about it.

Love,
Marisa Violeta

Meet the Blogger: Chloe Marie Antoinete

After having here Emma from Le Scrapbook de la Emma I decided it would be perfect to have one of my favorite portuguese fashion bloggers telling a few secrets about herself in this little space. That's why this is the time for you to meet Raquel from Chloe Marie Antoinete, a lovely portuguese blogger with the most lovely style ever.

3. How would you describe your style in a few words?

I'm a girl who loves everything from the past. My style is vintage, with a modern and romantic touch.

4. What made you start blogging?

I've always followed international fashion blogs and I always wanted to have a blog but I didn't know where to begin. About one year ago I started "ChloeMarieAntoinete" just to try it and now I can tell you I'm totally addicted. Blogging became one of my favorite hobbies :) As soon as I publish a post, I'm already thinking what I'm going to do on the next one! My endless passion for fashion was undoubtedly my main motivation!

5. If you could, who would you like to be for a day?

I'd like to take a month off and be a different person everyday :)) I could start my month as Marie Antoinette and finish it on the skin of the beautiful Audrey Hepburn :)

6. Tell us a random fact about yourself.

I never leave the house underdressed... I always have to make some kind of effort with my clothes.

Thank so much Raquel, it was a pleasure to have you here sharing some little things about yourself and you lovely tastes!

Oh, and I haven't told you yet but I was a guest at Steffy's Pros and Cons. Check it here.

Meet the Blogger : Scrapbook de la Emma

I wanted to bring something new to the blog so I tought it would be a great idea to do little interviews to the bloggers that I like and inspire me the most. I want to do this at least once a month! I'm really excited with this kind of new feature and I hope you like as much as I do.

My first interviewee was the beautiful lady behind the "Scrapbook de la Emma". She's an adorable red head with a very girly style and once you start checking her blog you just can't stop.

1. Where are you from and what do you do for a living?
I am from an inland city in NSW, Australia - about 4 hours from Sydney. I'm a part time/casual primary school teacher, not sure if I'll be doing that forever though, my mind changes all the time.

2. What inspires your personal style?
Oh gosh, everything. Obviously other bloggers inspire me a lot, I always love seeing how girls put outfits together in such different ways to what I would have ever imagined. It's so fun to see a look I like and then put my own spin on it to make it more 'me'. I'm also very inspired by my own mood, I'm one of those girls who doesn't know what she wants to wear until that morning, which makes packing a nightmare. I can wake up one day feeling like a floral dress and lots of pretty accessories and embellishments and then the next day want to be dressed in a very minimal basic outfit. I'm also very inspired by everyday things, the sun, a flower, animals, someones hair, my mums patchwork.. the list goes on
.

3. How would you describe your style in a few words?
Girly, sometimes erratic (i.e. my changing mood). I definitely would have to stick with girly, even my friends comment on it. I'm always in a dress or a skirt and I absolutely love colour, prints and girly shapes.

4. What made you start blogging?
I've always loved clothing and the way outfits are put together by different people. I got really into reading other personal style blogs about a year ago and my boyfriend suggested I should start my own. I'm so glad I did 'cos now I love it! To begin with I was a bit worried about putting myself out there and coming across as vein, but once I got into it I was fine. It's really helped my style evolve and encouraged me to try things I might not have tried before starting my blog. I'm definitely more fearless now, I could not imagine life without blogging.

5. If you could, who would you like to be for a day?
Oh gosh, you know, I'd love to have been my mum (or anyone) in the 70''s for a day... I know that's kind of going against the rules of the question but that was the first thing that sprung to mind. I've always had an obsession with that era ever since I was a little girl. My style actually used to reflect it a lot and I'm definitely going to get into the 70's trend that has come back. I just love the evolution of freedom that was happening then, the long hair, bright colours, kombi vans, music festivals and of course, the clothes.

6. Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I'm the clumsiest person you will ever meet. I'm not even exaggerating, my boyfriend calls me Emma the Dilemma because I fall over or hurt myself at least once a day.

After this, I'm sure you liked Emma as much as I do! So, dont forget to check her blog here and inspire yourself!

Oh, and thank you Emma (once again!) for doing this and for being such a nice person! :)
