Till There Was You

English: I don't wanna be those people who only talk about the weather but the truth is that this rain has been so annoying that you cannot avoid that. Not that I'm the biggest summer supporter, far from it, but wake up and lie down with rain is becoming a bit boring. I miss seeing the sun ray's enter through my window at dawn and I miss the things that should by typical of spring. Since I can't to anything to change that, I'm just going to believe that May will change the mood of Mr. Weather!
But leaving aside the time, I noticed that I use this skirt far too much and that you're probably seek of seeing me wearing it but it must be the piece that is on the first place of my top of basics (and I'm not really a fan of the so-called "basics"). It has the perfect shape, the perfect lenght and it is easy to combine with all the pieces of my wardrobe! Don't get bored if you see it a lot here but it is my salvation!

Português: Eu não quero ser daquelas pessoas que só sabem falar do tempo mas a verdade é que esta chuva anda tão chata que não dá para não falar disso. Não é que eu seja grande adepta do Verão, longe disso, mas acordar e deitar com chuva já anda a ser aborrecido. Tenho saudades de ver os raios de sol a entrar pela janela ao amanhecer e tenho saudades das coisas que deveriam ser típicas da Primavera. Como não dá para fazer nada para mudar isso vamos acreditar que a entrada de Maio altere o humor do senhor tempo!
Mas deixado o tempo de lado, tenho reparado que uso esta saia vezes sem conta e que vocês já devem estar fartinhos de olhar para ela mas ela deve ser aquela peça que realmente faz parte do meu primeiro lugar do top de básicos (e olhem que eu não sou fã nenhuma dos chamados "básicos"). Tem a forma perfeita, o comprimento perfeito e é fácil de conjugar com todas as peças do meu guarda-roupa! Não se aborreçam com ela se a virem muito por aqui mas é que ela é mesmo a minha salvação!

Design StreetStyle

English: A few weeks ago there was the National Meeting of Design Students here in Portugal. A meeting where the students of this area got together during four days to discuss, understand, share and celebrate the design.

In one of those days, during the break between lectures and while I was in the line to get my Mocha, a girl approached me smiling "Hello, do you know The Satorialist and O Alfaiate Lisboeta?". Well, all the rest is history and here I am sharing my first time featured in a streetstyle project (I'm looking awful though)!

Português: Há umas semanas atrás houve o Encontro Nacional de Estudantes de Design. Um encontro onde os estudantes dessa área se reuniram durante quatro dias para discutir, compreender, partilhar, e celebrar o design.

Num desses dias, durante o intervalo entre palestras e enquanto eu estava na fila para ir buscar o meu Mocha, uma rapariga sorridente abordou-me "Olá, conheces o The Satorialist e o Alfaiate Lisboeta?". Tudo o resto é história e partilho então convosco a minha primeira vez num projecto de streetstyle (onde estou terrível)!

Lost Railway

English: After a long time wanting to take a picture on an abandoned railway line I was finally able to do it. It's incredible how many feeling something like this can awake in me. My grandfather used to work on a railway in the 70s and my mom always tell me stories about that time, funny stories, happy stories, others less happy but in the end those stories are all a part of me.

When I found this one in Coimbra I knew that I had to use it to take some pictures. Unlike today, the day was sunny which made me want to wear my new dress without a coat. I have other two like this but in different colors! I don't really like to collect clothes that look the same but at the price I bought it I still think I should have bought a few more. Hurray bargains!

Português: Depois de muito tempo a querer tirar uma foto numa linha de comboio abandonada finalmente consegui fazê-lo. São incríveis os sentimentos que algo assim consegue despertar em mim. O meu avô trabalhava num linha ferroviária nos anos 70 e são muitas as vezes que a minha mãe me conta histórias desse tempo, histórias engraçadas, felizes, outras menos felizes mas que acabam todas por fazer parte de mim.

Quando encontrei esta em Coimbra soube que tinha de a aproveitar e não tardou até lá voltar e tirar estas fotos. Ao contrário de hoje, o dia estava solarengo o que me deixou usar o meu vestidinho novo sem casaco. Tenho mais dois iguais mas de cores diferentes! Eu não gosto muito de coleccionar roupa igual mas pelo preço que os comprei era capaz de comprar mais uns quantos. Viva às pechinchas!

Yellow Flower

English: Today is being one of those sundays that I don't feel like doing anything despite having a huge list of thing to do. It's a typical cold April day and I'm here with my green blanket reading blogs and thinking "Maybe this is the moment when you start doing the Typography work you have to deliever tuesday! Making a font is not something that can be done in an hour.", but the lazyness is so big and persistent!

The rain is not letting me take pictures and once I saved these pictures for a day like this one I decided to finally share them. These were taken on the day I went to Magenta!

Português: Hoje está a ser um daqueles domingos em que não apetece fazer nada apesar de ter uma lista enorme de coisas para fazer. Está um frio típico de Abril e eu estou aqui agarradinha à minha manta verde a ler blogs e a pensar "Talvez seja este o momento em que começas a fazer o teu trabalho de Tipografia que tens de entregar terça-feira. Fazer uma fonte não é algo que se faça numa hora", mas a preguiça é tão grande e tão persistente!

A chuva não me tem deixado tirar fotos e como tinha estas fotos guardadas à espera de um dia como este decidi partilhá-las. Foram tiradas no dia em que fui à Magenta por isso não estranhem o facto da roupa ser a mesma!

Magenta

English: During easter vacation me and my darling Paulinha went to a more than lovely pastry house in Guimarães. The name is Magenta and the unique ambience, the feminine decoration and the smell of hot cakes in the air made us travel to the pâtisseries of Paris. There I ate one of the most delicious cakes ever and a few days later we had to come back. This time the company was one of the most marvellous teas I ever tried. The unpredictable flavors and the sympathy of the girl who served us was the touch that was missing and the promisse to return there is well established in our intentions! Therefore, if you ever go to Guimarães don't forget to try the delicious home made cakes and the thousands of tea flavors they have available.

Português: Nas férias da Páscoa eu e a minha querida Paulinha fomos a uma pastelaria mais do que amorosa em Guimarães. O seu nome é Magenta e o seu ambiente único, decoração feminina e o cheiro a bolos quentes no ar faz-nos viajar até às pâtisseries de Paris. Lá provei um dos bolinhos mais deliciosos de sempre e dias depois tivemos de voltar. Desta vez a companhia foi um dos mais maravilhosos chás que já tomei. Sabores imprevisíveis e a simpatia da menina que nos atendeu foi o toque que faltava e a promessa de lá voltar ficou bem assente nas nossas intenções! 

Por isso, se forem de Guimarães ou simplesmente tiverem de passagem não se esqueçam de ir experimentar os deliciosos bolos acabadinhos de fazer e os mil sabores de chá que eles têm disponíveis.

English: This lovely blouse is from Sugarlips, an online store from Los Angeles that sells some of the most unique pieces at very affordable prices! When they told me to pick one of their pieces you cannot imagine my excitement, they sell some of the most versatile designs and that's one of the things I find most important in a piece of clothing. Another plus is the quality! The blouse is made from an amazing material and everything came in an excellent condition!

Sadly right after I took these picture it started rainning and I had to put my warm sweater and my rain coat on. Please Mr. Weather, be nice to me!
